A rare silk brocade and gold and silver threads piling collar

The large collar pilingcovering the shoulders was part of the official court robes chaofu. Only a few have survived, because they were removable, so many has been lost. This one is ornated with facing dragons chasing the pearl, waves, rocks, flames and lingzhi-shape clouds, silver threads otuses scrolls on a blue ground surrounding the collar. The back decorated with silver threads brocade decorated with medallions of dragons holding the pearl surrounded by lingzhi-shape clouds and flames.
